Senior Structural Design Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our team at Adecco Canada. As a key member of our civil engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in the design of structural engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and review structural designs for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with OBC Part 4 requirements.
* Ensure that all designs meet or exceed the relevant provisions of the Ontario Building Code (Part 4), including loading requirements, material specifications, and safety regulations.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of structural designs.
* Utilize advanced structural analysis and design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro) to create detailed models and simulations that accurately reflect the structural behavior of buildings under various loads.
* Prepare comprehensive design reports, calculations, and construction drawings that clearly communicate the structural design intent to clients and construction teams.
* Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions that meet both their expectations and regulatory requirements.
* Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that construction work aligns with the approved structural designs and OBC requirements.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (Masters an asset).
* Minimum of 4 years of proven structural design experience within a consulting firm.
* Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation is required.
* Strong understanding of OBC, structural engineering principles and design standards.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in design work.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Excellent time management, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
