Job Title: Senior Director of Hardware Engineering

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director of Hardware Engineering to lead our hardware engineering team at Miovision Technologies, Inc. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading hardware engineering teams, bringing complex products to market, and fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure hardware engineering supports the overall business strategy.
  • Lead end-to-end hardware development processes from concept to production, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Oversee the design, testing, and prototyping of hardware products, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and certifications.
  • Build, mentor, and manage a high-performance hardware engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
  • Partner with finance in building budgets for product development and report on attainment.
  • Implement best practices for hardware development, testing, and manufacturing to ensure product quality and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in hardware engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of hardware development lifecycles, including design, testing, regulatory compliance, and mass production.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing external partnerships with suppliers, manufacturers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Additional Assets:

  • Experience in the traffic management or smart city industry.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and certifications related to smart infrastructure or traffic management systems.
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting to C-suite executives, Senior leadership, and external stakeholders.
