Meat Department Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Meat Department as a key member of our store management team. As a Meat Department Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department, ensuring that it meets or exceeds sales and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities- Departmental Leadership: Provide guidance and direction to department associates, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional customer service and meet sales targets.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring that merchandise is stocked, displayed, and priced appropriately to meet customer demand.
- Merchandising and Visual Displays: Oversee the creation and maintenance of visually appealing displays and promotions that drive sales and customer engagement.
- Customer Service: Foster a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers receive a positive and personalized shopping experience.
- Team Development: Identify and develop talent within the department, providing coaching and training to help associates grow and succeed in their roles.
- Operational Efficiency: Analyze and improve departmental processes, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Communication and Collaboration: Maintain open and effective communication with store management, other department managers, and associates to ensure seamless store operations and achieve business objectives.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
- Experience: Previous retail management experience, preferably in a departmental or specialty store setting.
- Leadership and Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop associates.
- Organizational and Time Management Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, inventory management, and customer service.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
