As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist in our Nuclear Medicine department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. Located at Kingston Health Sciences Centre, our team is dedicated to providing exceptional service and expertise in diagnostic imaging.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Diagnostic Imaging Specialist with a strong background in nuclear medicine to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general nuclear medicine imaging, SPECT/CT and PET/CT acquisitions, image processing, data storage, and management on workstations and database management in PACS.

This is a full-time opportunity working day shifts, with a competitive salary range of $36.84-$50.24 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Services: Perform general nuclear medicine imaging, SPECT/CT and PET/CT acquisitions, image processing, data storage, and management on workstations and database management in PACS.
  • Patient Care: Responsible for proper patient identification, verification of patient pregnancy or breast feeding, explanation of procedure, and administration of radiopharmaceuticals and radioactive therapies.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Participate in the quality control of instruments such as dose calibrators, detectors, and imaging equipment.
  • Supply Management: Scanning room stocking of supplies/linen, equipment cleaning, scanning room maintenance, and quality control procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Active registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists of Ontario Nuclear Medicine required.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience is an asset; new technologists welcome with adequate training and support provided.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills, proficient with medical terminology, and ability to communicate with a high level of professionalism in interpersonal relations.
  • Certifications: Registered with CAMRT preferred, registered with OAMRT preferred.
