Prince Rupert Regional Hospital is seeking a skilled psychiatrist to join our Northwest Psychiatry Team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide services to Prince Rupert, Terrace, Smithers and surrounding communities.

Compensation

The estimated remuneration for this position is $500,000+ per year. Additionally, you may be eligible for retention premiums, retention flat fees, relocation funding, and other benefits as outlined in the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA).

This fee-for-service role comes with zero physician overhead, providing you with increased autonomy and flexibility in your practice.

Role and Facility Information

You will work closely with family physicians in a community mental health team, providing patient assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing consultation and education to advance effective treatment.

As part of our team, you will participate in the provision of area-based continuum of psychiatric services, including assessment of patients in the regional hospital observation unit.

Prince Rupert is a marine-based port city offering unique wilderness exploration and wildlife viewing experiences on Northwest BC's Pacific Coast. With a population of 13,500 people, it serves as a transportation hub for British Columbia's North Coast.
