Child and Youth Psychiatrist

We are seeking a skilled Child and Youth Psychiatrist to join our team at University Hospital of Northern BC. This is an exciting opportunity for a medical professional to design their practice around their specific interests within child and youth psychiatry.
Key Responsibilities
- To provide high-quality care to children and adolescents in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- To work collaboratively with inter-professional teams to deliver comprehensive mental health services.
- To support the regional program of the Adolescent Psychiatric Assessment Unit (6 beds).

Location
University Hospital of Northern BC is located in Prince George, BC, serving both the immediate population of the city and as a referral center for outlying communities.
Compensation Package
This position offers a competitive compensation package, including:
- A base salary range of $350,000+/- per year.
- Retention Premium: 12.6%
- Retention Flat Fee: $19,526
- Relocation Funding Available: $9,000-15,000
- Recruitment Incentive: $15,000
- Other Benefits/Incentives: $15,000 if relocating from outside of Canada; $12,000 if relocating within Canada but outside of BC; $9,000 if relocating within BC.
Work-Life Balance
Our on-call schedule is designed to accommodate a healthy work-life balance, with on-call duties being once per week or less and typically done in 12-hour increments.
