Overview

The University Hospital of Northern BC is seeking a skilled Child and Youth Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and youth in our community.


Compensation Package

We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including an estimated annual salary of $350,000+, which reflects the unique challenges and rewards of practicing medicine in a rural setting.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional remuneration through our Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA), including a retention premium of 12.6%, a retention flat fee of $19,526, relocation funding of up to $15,000, and other benefits.


About the Role

This position offers a unique blend of inpatient and outpatient care, with opportunities to work with patients from diverse backgrounds and age groups. You will have the chance to develop your skills in areas such as crisis stabilization, longitudinal care, pediatric client liaison, psychotherapy, and addictions care.

As a member of our team, you will also have the opportunity to contribute to teaching and research initiatives, working closely with medical students, family practice residents, and psychiatry residents.
