Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled psychiatrist to join our team at Prince Rupert Regional Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to provide mental health services to the community of Prince Rupert and surrounding areas.


Compensation Package
  • Estimated Salary: $500,000+
  • Physician Overhead: ZERO

About the Role

This position involves working as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team to provide comprehensive psychiatric services to patients in need. You will work closely with family physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective treatment plans and coordination of care.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct patient assessments and develop treatment plans
  2. Provide ongoing education and consultation to physicians and other healthcare teams
  3. Participate in the provision of area-based continuum of psychiatric services, including assessment and management of patients in the regional hospital observation unit

Required Qualifications
  • Current College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) License: Provisional
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA): Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC): Eligible
