About the Role

LanceSoft is seeking a highly skilled Business Systems Analyst to join our team. As a Business Systems Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our business systems meet the needs of our clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Analysis: Conduct comprehensive business analysis to identify business problems and opportunities, and document business requirements for IT solutions.
  • Requirements Gathering: Lead and conduct business analysis to assess client's business problems/opportunities and document the business requirements for IT solutions.
  • Process Improvement: Apply re-engineering concepts for business improvements through cost-effective service delivery approaches.
  • Business Case Development: Develop strategies, prepare business cases, and conduct feasibility studies for business IT initiatives.
  • Requirements Documentation: Develop processes for requirements gathering including JAD sessions, interviews, mockups, etc.
  • Business Modeling: Conduct business modeling, use case modeling, data modeling, process and data flow modeling, use case surveys, business rules definition, and non-functional requirements definitions for projects.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor progress, resolve problems, and report regularly to IT management and stakeholders.
  • Evaluation and Reporting: Develop performance measures and traceability matrices for business analysis evaluation.
Desirable Skills
  • Information Retrieval: Experience in information retrieval packages.
  • Information Management: Knowledge of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
  • Requirements Translation: Ability to translate business and data requirements into specifications for designing technology solutions.
  • Business Analysis Methods: Experience with various methods, tools, and techniques for business analysis.
  • Methodologies: Experience in structured, object-oriented, and agile methodologies for user requirements.
  • Accessibility: Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards.
