Job Title: Construction Estimator

Dallas Watt Demo Ltd is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing estimates of labour and/or material costs, as well as general expenses and overheads. They will also create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms. Additionally, they will advise on tendering procedures, analyze tenders, and recommend awards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs, as well as general expenses and overheads.

  • Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bids forms.

  • Advise on tendering procedures.

  • Analyze tenders and recommend awards.

  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems.

  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures.

  • Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors.

  • Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating, preferably in civil, electricity, commercial, and industrial construction. They will also possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will also be willing to travel and have a combination of sitting, standing, and walking as part of their workday.
