About the Role:

Dallas Watt Demo Ltd is seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our estimating department, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and detailed estimates of labour and material costs for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs for construction projects
  • Prepare estimates for general expenses and overheads
  • Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
  • Advise on tendering procedures
  • Analyze tenders and recommend awards
  • Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems
  • Monitor and adjust contract expenditures
  • Prepare and maintain a directory of supplies and trade contractors
  • Liaise with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in construction estimating an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data
  • Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team
