Job Title: IT Support Student (Co-op)

Millards is seeking a dedicated IT Support Student (Co-op) to join our IT department at our Brantford office. As a key member of our team, you will provide support to staff at Brantford and Hagersville locations, assisting with hardware and software support, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the IT Support Technician in installing or replacing new hardware and software as requested.
  • Create and manage users within Active directory/Azure, reset passwords, and provide access upon approval as required.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical problems with network equipment and software.
  • Aid users with application and operating system problems, resolving their computing requirements promptly.
  • Support in network and server device management tasks.
  • Prioritize incoming requests and assigned tasks.
  • Learn and familiarize with software and hardware items used and supported by the organization.
  • Document resolutions to problems with hardware/software.
  • Be available for extended working hours during peak periods, as required.
Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in computer technology or related field.
  • Strong desire to gain hands-on experience in IT support.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with Windows Server and Windows operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of mobile devices, including iOS and Android.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Proactive attitude, able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Working Conditions and Benefits:

  • Monday to Friday, occasional Saturdays during busy season (January-April).
