Options Clearing Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Options Clearing Associate to join our team at Wealthsimple Digital Assets Inc. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of options clearing processes and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the life cycle of options trades, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
- Execute operational critical activities related to options reconciliations, settlements, and expiration.
- Collaborate with Operations Associates to ensure the accuracy of client records.
- Take ownership of critical trade and position reconciliations, escalating to the trade desk, counterparties, and other teams as necessary to reduce risk.
- Develop and maintain expertise on options clearing processes, including SOLA and OCC.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reconciliation differences, identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Use data analytics to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions to increase operational efficiency.
- 3+ years of experience in options clearing, securities operations, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of options clearing processes, including SOLA and OCC.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Experience with programming languages, such as SQL, is a plus.
