Job Description:

The Operations Control Services Specialist will join the Control Services team, undertaking a variety of responsibilities associated with account reconciliation, options clearing, and the upkeep of the Security Master system. This role encompasses daily and monthly reconciliation of accounts, support for options trading activities, and security pricing tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily reconciliation of settlement and depository accounts
  • Oversee option accounts and manage cash balances
  • Reconcile foreign exchange and currency accounts
  • Ensure adherence to reconciliation policies
  • Compile month-end financial reports
  • Facilitate position transfers and necessary adjustments
  • Address inquiries related to the security master and pricing
  • Execute other assigned responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

  • Over 5 years of operational experience within the financial services sector
  • Experience in brokerage and custody operations is preferred
  • Familiarity with Broadridge Dataphile is advantageous
  • Completion of a two-year post-secondary education program
  • Canadian Securities Course or IFIC certification is beneficial

Skills Required:

  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications is an asset
