HVAC Technician Role Overview


At MT Talent, we are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician (G1) to join our team of professionals. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional service and are looking for a collaborative and supportive work environment, this role may be the perfect fit for you.



Key Responsibilities



  • Provide top-level support to customers on HVAC products.
  • Start up and commission new product installations, working closely with installing contractors to ensure optimal operation.
  • Offer telephone support to installers and service technicians on installation and operational issues related to equipment supplied.
  • Liaise with sales staff to support them in laying out and integrating equipment.
  • Collaborate with manufacturer's technical support to obtain support documents and technical information that will assist customers with installation and/or configuration of equipment.
  • Deliver field support in installation, troubleshooting, and configuration of equipment throughout its entire life cycle.
  • Support warranty claim processing, working with both contractor and internal sales team to address product failures in a timely manner.
  • Occasionally attend manufacturer facilities for technical training on product lines.
  • Work with a variety of products, including LG variable refrigerant flow air source heat pumps, Bousquet and Valent air handling solutions, CET hazardous gas monitoring, Dryotron natatorium dehumidification, and Neptronic humidification solutions.


Requirements



  • A G1 gas technician license is required. A license is a definite asset and desired.
  • Current and continuing membership of the Ontario College of Trade in good standing.
  • At least 5 years' service experience in the trade working on ICI projects.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • A valid G driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (written and oral) with a proven ability to work with internal teams and customers in a way that represents the company brand and values at all times.
  • Conscientious and diligent with a proactive attitude.
  • Punctual, reliable, strong sense of integrity, and maturity.
  • Strong computer and electronic skills related to HVAC equipment. An ability and willingness to learn new applications are required.
  • Ability to travel within the GTA, including downtown core, Halton, and Southwestern Ontario.
