Job Opportunity

As a Senior Associate Director, you will support Directors in the Bank's GTR Real Estate Markets-Project Financing team. Your responsibilities will include analyzing and underwriting complex credits, partnering with Directors to understand client needs, and performing daily administration of the lending portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support a complex Director desk focused on financing requests in real estate term debt markets.
  • Lead and manage discussions with stakeholders, underwriting capital commitment term sheets, and risk management framework.
  • Provide deal support for bilateral and syndicated senior secured loans, including budgetary analysis and credit underwriting.
  • Manage portfolio quality, overseeing credit expiries, out of orders, and loan maturities.
  • Drive team priorities, connecting with clients and internal partners to build trust and strengthen our presence in the real estate network.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience as an Associate Director or market equivalent in residential real estate project financing.
  • Strong knowledge of real estate syndication, credit structure, and pricing.
  • Technical, analytical, credit underwriting, and portfolio management skills.
  • Client-centric experience with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mature views on the real estate market with a well-thought-out point of view.
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
  • Independent worker and team player with a positive attitude.
  • Motivated proactive thinker with detail-oriented and creative problem-solving approach.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or CFA.
  • Existing network of contacts in the GTA real estate industry.

About the Role

This is a full-time salaried position in the Personal and Commercial Banking platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the real estate market and be able to analyze complex credits.
