Critical Care Registered Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Northumberland Hills Hospital. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify their needs and develop effective care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to changes in their condition
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and self-care techniques
Requirements:
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- BScN preferred
- Willingness to complete a Critical Care Certificate course within 12 months of hire
- NENA triage certificate preferred
- NRP, PALS, BLS, and ACLS certifications
- Previous experience in a critical care or emergency setting
- Minimum 2 years medical surgical experience
- Ability to interpret cardiac rhythm strips and utilize ACLS drugs
- Ability to work in an active, rapidly changing, stressful environment
