Critical Care Registered Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our team at Northumberland Hills Hospital. As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide professional nursing care to patients in the ICU/ER department
* Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
* Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
* Develop and implement effective care plans to meet the needs of patients and their families
* Educate patients and their families on health promotion, disease prevention, and management of chronic conditions
Requirements:
* Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
* BScN preferred
* Willingness to complete a Critical Care Certificate course within 12 months of hire
* NENA triage certificate preferred
* NRP, PALS, BLS, and ACLS certifications
* Previous experience in a critical care or emergency setting
* Minimum 2 years medical surgical experience
* Demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythm strips and utilize ACLS drugs
* Demonstrated ability to use crisis prevention intervention
