Job Title: Human Resources Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at EightSix Network. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for leading the full human resources function, providing guidance and coaching to the site and leadership team, and developing and implementing HR programs and systems to achieve business results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the full human resources function, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, talent development, succession planning, employee engagement, and labor relations.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the site and leadership team on all HR matters, including attendance and disability management, health and safety, human rights, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement HR programs and systems to achieve business results, including recruitment strategy and execution, onboarding, benefits administration, performance management, talent development, succession planning, employee engagement, and labor relations.
  • Work with the corporate Labour Relations team to manage all unionized employee relations issues at the site.
  • Lead the team to deliver full recruitment services from sourcing and interviewing to employee offers.
  • Provide advice and guidance on company policies, career development, training, compensation, recruitment, performance management, and employee relations programs.
  • Lead and execute key initiatives that support Gateway's culture.
  • Accurately diagnose organization issues, develop solutions, and recommend solutions for implementation.
  • Ensure activities are compliant with all provincial and federal employment laws.
  • Assist in compiling relative HR metrics, analysis, and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge in human resources and labor relations obtained through a degree in Human Resources along with a minimum of 8 years of HR experience or equivalent with 5 years in a leadership role in a union environment.
  • Knowledge of all applicable HR legislation; HR functions and ability to develop, implement, and administer programs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, and negotiations skills to build and maintain strong relationships and act as a facilitator.
  • Proven high level of customer service.
  • Working knowledge of computer software packages and HRIS.
