About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Safety Expert Advisor to join our team in Edmonton, AB. This full-time position involves working closely with our HSE Supervisor and department managers to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular field tours, worker observations, and work site safety inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Attend toolbox meetings, pre-job planning/kick-offs, monthly safety meetings, weekly client and HSE team meetings to promote a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Create and conduct safety meetings to educate employees on new procedures and best practices.
  • Perform quality checks on operations documentation, count, and file statistics to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Job Safety Analysis to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Stay up-to-date with current OH&S legislation, Federal and Provincial laws, as well as company standards and policies to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, to effectively communicate and record information.
Requirements:
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license and clean 3-year driver's abstract.
  • Degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant industry.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
