Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shipping Coordinator to join our team at Survitec. The Shipping Coordinator will be responsible for managing the shipping of all goods from our Vancouver location, as well as receiving customer property for service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all shipping and receiving duties for customer goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Respond to customer service inquiries within one business day, providing accurate and helpful information.
  • Keep customer service staff informed about any changes in shipping dates or issues with customer equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations, company policies, and procedures.
  • Communicate with the shipping supervisor regarding necessary parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain company vehicles, equipment, and premises in good operational condition.
  • Accurately process receiving reports, prepare sales orders, generate delivery notes, and update shipping logs.
  • Immediately report any major health and safety issues or unexpected financial risks to Senior Management.

Requirements

  • Experience in a shipping role, with a strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
  • Physical fitness for some heavy lifting, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lift truck operator certification.
  • Certification in the transportation of dangerous goods by ground, air, and sea.
  • Proficiency in using an ERP system.
