Job Description

The ideal candidate will develop and implement effective plans, systems, policies, and processes for workforce planning, talent acquisition, talent management, employee engagement, legal compliance, compensation, benefits, payroll processing, and employee relations.

  • Perform timely and accurate payroll processing using HR/Payroll software.
  • Administer benefit programs, including enrolment and maintenance of employee data and reports.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including job posting, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and communication with hiring managers.
  • Manage the off-boarding process by conducting exit interviews and generating voluntary departure confirmation letters.
  • Maintain labor relations, responding to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, programs, and employee complaints/grievances.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with relevant laws and regulations, including equal opportunity laws and guidelines.
  • Oversee the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of employee files and records.
  • Counsel management on union issues, collective agreement application, disciplinary actions, and grievance resolution.
  • Administration related to safety compliance and incident investigation.
  • Occasional floor walks for employee assistance and interaction.
  • Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests.
