About the Role

RhynoCare is a leading healthcare staffing agency that offers a wide range of job opportunities for healthcare professionals. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serving Food and Beverages: Prepare and serve meals to residents according to individual diets and preferences.
  • Food Safety and Handling: Responsible for portion control, safety precautions, and proper storage and labeling of dietary supplies and food.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and individual work areas to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Event Planning: Assist with setting up for catering events, including linens, chair covers, equipment, and place settings.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in facility meetings, attend in-service education programs, and adhere to established departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Successful completion and/or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program meeting the requirements of the Ontario Long-Term Care Homes Act.
  • Food Handlers Certification: Must have Food Handlers Certification approved by Public Health Department.
  • Availability: Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and stat holidays.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to do moderate to heavy lifting and stand for long periods of time.
  • Background Check: Current (within 6 months) Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening (VPS).
  • Experience: Experience working in a kitchen or food service setting.
