Job Description:

The Opportunity: As a key member of our Finance team, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for preparing monthly financial reports, reconciliations, and other daily duties within the Finance Department. The successful candidate will perform detailed monthly analysis and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, prepare budget reconciliations, and compile non-financial data for senior management on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly
  • Create journal entries as necessary to maintain accurate accounting records
  • Review and manage the setup of vendors in our financial systems
  • Reconcile provincial barrister society dues and fees to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Assist in the preparation for the Firm's annual audit
  • Review and post daily disbursement sessions, including electronic data imports
