Job Title: Global Audit Leader

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Global Audit Leader to oversee and lead a team of audit experts responsible for internal audit activities, effective quality assurance, reporting, regulatory and accounting research, audit automation, and training methodology standards for Scotiabank globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of audit experts in internal audit activities, quality assurance, and reporting.
  • Develop and implement risk-based audit methodologies and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and management of regulatory issues.
  • Lead quality assurance team reviews of audit work and track remediation of issues identified.
  • Develop and implement data and analytics audit framework to identify emerging risks.
  • Lead HR support initiatives and facilitate resource utilization across Audit.
  • Manage financial budget expenses and track budget concerns.

Requirements:

  • Professional accounting or similar risk-based designation or experience.
  • Extensive bank and/or financial services industry experience.
  • Working knowledge of banking and financial services industry, including financial reporting processes.
  • High proficiency in risk-based auditing standards, practices, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Fluency in Spanish is desirable.
