Strategic Labour Relations Director

Job Description: As a key member of our Centre of Expertise in Employee and Labour Relations, you will play a vital role in developing a proactive strategic and operational service offer in employee and labour relations. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Developing and maintaining trust relationships with managers, union partners, and human capital business partners to ensure the best strategies and practices in the discipline.
• Acting as a change agent in employee and labour relations, bringing an innovative and sustainable vision based on trust.
• Contributing to the improvement of the employee experience and work organization.
• Supporting managers and their teams in employee and labour relations management.
• Directing, coaching, and guiding on-site human capital business partners on all matters related to employee and labour relations.
• Ensuring that strategies used for your sector of activity are optimal and based on best practices.
• Supporting various organizational projects such as acquisitions, reorganizations, closures, terminations, and employee disputes with all legal authorities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in industrial relations or human resources management (any other combination deemed relevant will be considered).
• At least 7 years of relevant experience in labour relations, including experience in negotiation as a spokesperson.
• Experience in the manufacturing sector and/or multisites is an asset.
• Charted professional in human resources is an asset.
• In-depth knowledge of labour laws, regulations, and case law as well as dispute resolution processes is essential.
• Proficiency in Office suite (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, etc.).
• Bilingualism (English and French) - Frequent communication with partners, customers, and/or employees outside Quebec.
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
