Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthotics Assistant to join our team at Academy Foot and Orthotic Clinics. As an Orthotics Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in the delivery of high-quality orthotics services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures, and record results, and monitor, check and calibrate auditory equipment.
  • Assist healthcare professionals in the assessment and treatment of patients.
  • Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, prepare and maintain equipment and supplies, and operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices.
  • Maintain supplies, maintain inventory of equipment, document patient rehabilitation progress, process files and paperwork, schedule and confirm appointments, and manage routine office functions including reception, telephone and booking appointments.
Work Environment

As an Orthotics Assistant at Academy Foot and Orthotic Clinics, you will work in a fast-paced and dynamic medical clinic environment. You will be required to work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and may be required to stand for extended periods.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent patient care.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
