Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Orthotics Assistant to join our team at Academy Foot and Orthotic Clinics. As an Orthotics Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare professionals in the delivery of high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer tests using equipment, instruct patients on test procedures, and record results, and monitor, check, and calibrate auditory equipment.
  • Assist healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care.
  • Carry out treatment programs, under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists, to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
  • Clean and maintain equipment, prepare and maintain equipment and supplies, and operate and maintain sterilization equipment and instrumentation for re-use according to standardized safety practices.
  • Maintain supplies, maintain inventory of equipment, document patient rehabilitation progress, process files and paperwork, schedule and confirm appointments, and manage routine office functions including reception, telephone, and booking appointments.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for extended periods and manual dexterity.
