Job Summary:

Manulife is seeking a seasoned Director, Business Services and Development to lead our Business Services and Development (BSD) team. The BSD team provides critical support to our customer-facing teams and the Bank as a whole, handling shared service functions, such as business unit support, operational controls, initiative delivery, change readiness, and process solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of operational and support functions in Bank Operations.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives in alignment with the Bank and Operations' goals and objectives.
  • Lead a team of managers and business consultants who enable the Bank and Operations to support production and deliver on strategic objectives and OKRs.
  • Collaborate and communicate with matrix teams, including Bank Operations, Finance, IT, Risk, Compliance, and Delivery, to drive outcomes and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all risk and regulatory initiatives and timelines for Bank Operations.

Requirements:
  • Proven track record as a senior leader with at least 3 years' experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong business and technical skills, with expertise in operational risk and controls.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience in building trust and driving results.
  • Ability to think conceptually, collaborate, and negotiate with various stakeholders.
