Senior Interpreter and Translation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Interpreter and Translation Specialist to join our team at Embassy West Senior Living. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing accurate and culturally sensitive interpretation and translation services to support the needs of our residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Interpretation Services: Provide simultaneous or consecutive interpretation services in English and other languages as needed, ensuring accurate and clear communication between residents, staff, and external parties.
- Translation Services: Translate written materials, such as documents, reports, and marketing materials, from English and other languages into the required languages, maintaining the original meaning and context.
- Cultural Competence: Demonstrate a deep understanding of cultural nuances and differences, ensuring that interpretation and translation services are sensitive to the needs of diverse individuals and communities.
- Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with residents, staff, and external partners, ensuring that interpretation and translation services meet the needs of all stakeholders.
- Quality Control: Conduct quality control checks on interpretation and translation services to ensure accuracy, completeness, and cultural sensitivity.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in interpretation and translation, as well as cultural competence and communication.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Translation, Interpretation, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in interpretation and translation services, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English and at least one other language, with excellent interpretation and translation skills.
- Cultural Competence: Demonstrated understanding of cultural nuances and differences, with the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and communities.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and external partners.
