About the Role

The Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada is seeking skilled interpreters to join our team. As an interpreter, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between individuals and our staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret dialogue during proceedings, including translating from the individual's language to French or English, and vice versa, using consecutive interpretation.
  • Ensure accurate and faithful translation, maintaining the structure and equivalent words and phrases.

Requirements

  • Canadian citizenship or permanent residency.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Professional references (minimum two).
  • Adherence to the Code of Conduct for Interpreters.
