Key Responsibilities- Education: College/CEGEP
- Utilize reference materials, including dictionaries and software, to verify translation precision.
- Review translated documents to maintain the essence, emotion, and substance of the original text.
- Oversee and mentor junior staff members.
- Convert sign language to spoken language and the reverse.
- Facilitate oral communication between speakers of different languages.
- Provide interpretation services in legal settings.
- Assist speakers of Aboriginal or foreign languages.
- Interpret for individuals and small groups effectively.
- Conduct research on terminology and identify specific terms in various sectors.
- Preserve the content, context, and style of original materials.
- Execute quality control, proofreading, and offer consultation services.
- Translate a diverse range of written documents.
Minimum of 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
