About the Role

The Community Occupational Therapist is a vital member of our interdisciplinary team. This role will work with individuals struggling with mental health and substance use issues to help them achieve optimal recovery outcomes. Key responsibilities include conducting thorough assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, providing one-on-one and group therapy sessions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive client assessments to identify strengths, challenges, and goals.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to develop targeted interventions, promoting holistic growth and recovery.
  • Provide individualized support, coaching, and guidance to empower clients in managing their conditions and achieving their objectives.
  • Work closely with community agencies, healthcare providers, and family members to foster seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Certificate or diploma in occupational therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Registration with the College of Health Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHBC).
  • A minimum of two years of recent experience working with adults in community-based mental health and/or substance use settings.
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle for business purposes.
