Museum Curator and Collections Manager

The Yellowknife Historical Society is seeking a highly skilled Museum Curator and Collections Manager to oversee the operations of the Yellowknife Historical Museum. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the museum's collections, exhibitions, and educational programs.

Job DescriptionAs Museum Curator and Collections Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing the museum's collections, including acquisition, conservation, and research
- Developing and implementing exhibition programs that showcase the museum's collections
- Coordinating educational programs and activities for visitors of all ages
- Collaborating with staff, volunteers, and external partners to achieve museum goals
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as museum studies, history, or fine arts
- At least 3 years of experience in a museum or cultural institution
- Excellent communication and project management skills
