Job Title: Architectural Technologist

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our team at the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. The successful candidate will have a strong background in sustainable design and a passion for creating highly efficient building envelopes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development of sustainable design approaches for projects
  • Design and develop building envelopes and their details to meet green certification standards
  • Collaborate with our aviation division to coordinate with consultants and clients on sustainable approaches
  • Prepare proposals, analyze technical documents, and tender contracts
  • Assist in supervising construction projects and preparing working drawings
  • Write specifications, monitor and inspect work, and estimate costs and materials
  • Construct architectural and display models, and assist in design development
  • Prepare presentation graphics and drawings, and consult on sustainable approaches to building design
Requirements:
  • College diploma or equivalent in architectural technology with a specialization in sustainable design
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in the field
  • Knowledge of the Latin American market and in-depth knowledge of construction principles
  • Expertise in the design of technical details and experience in commercial and/or industrial construction
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards, and experience in site supervision and construction administration
  • LEED Green Associate credential and knowledge of Passive House
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite apps, Microsoft Office programs, Sketch Up, Twin Motion, AutoCAD, and U-Bakus
