About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Architectural Technologist to join our team at the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in assisting our staff with internal consultation and support in developing sustainable design approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create 2D and 3D models to visualize building designs and ensure efficient building envelopes
  • Prepare proposals and tender contracts to secure projects
  • Analyze technical documents and reports to inform design decisions
  • Assist in supervising construction projects and ensure compliance with green certification standards
  • Prepare working drawings and specifications to meet project requirements
  • Consult on sustainable approaches to building design and provide expertise in green building principles
Requirements
  • College diploma or equivalent in architectural technology with a specialization in sustainable design
  • Minimum of 5 years related experience in the field
  • Knowledge of the Latin American market and in-depth understanding of construction principles
  • Expertise in the design of technical details and experience in commercial and/or industrial construction
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards, as well as experience in site supervision and construction administration
  • LEED Green Associate credential and knowledge of Passive House
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite apps, Microsoft Office programs, Sketch Up, Twin Motion, AutoCAD, and U-Bakus
