Job Title: Architectural Technologist

Cygnus Design Group is a leading wayfinding and environmental graphic design firm with a strong presence in Canada. We strive to enhance the navigation experience of environments, improve access to essential products and services, and foster engagement with our clients' spaces.

We are seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist to support the planning and development of wayfinding programs within Revit and collaborate with our design team to create detailed drawings for signage components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare sign family content, location plans, and message schedules primarily using Revit.
  • Track changes and audit the Revit model on an ongoing basis, updating sign locations, room numbering, and other wayfinding-related data as needed.
  • Conduct specification drawing quality control, shop drawing reviews, attend site meetings, and perform thorough deficiency assessments.
  • Develop signage fabrication drawings in collaboration with the design team.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Architectural Technologist Diploma or related discipline from a recognized post-secondary institution.
  • 3-5 years related experience.
  • Experience in Healthcare and the public sector is an asset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and deliver projects efficiently independently and within a team setting.
  • Knowledge of applicable Canadian building codes and municipal by-laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and seamlessly transition between multiple projects.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is required.
  • Proficiency with Mac OS & Google Suite tools.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
Compensation & Benefits:

Salary: $60,000 - $75,000 CAD (commensurate with experience)

Supplementary health and dental benefits after a 3-month probationary period.
