Job Summary

As a Maternity Nurse at Providence Health Care, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and promoting a safe, respectful, and civil working environment. Reporting to the Operations Leader, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the nursing care required to assist patients in meeting their physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans using evidence-based practice.
  • Provide direct nursing interventions for management of crisis and life-threatening situations.
  • Document patient information, including assessments, plan of care, and progress.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in nursing orientation and share clinical knowledge with other nursing staff.

Requirements

  • Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
