Job Title: Nurse Educator

Providence Health Care is seeking a skilled Nurse Educator to join our team. As a Nurse Educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare by educating and mentoring nursing staff.

Job Summary

The Nurse Educator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs for nursing staff. This includes developing and delivering training sessions, creating educational materials, and assessing staff learning needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement educational programs for nursing staff
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on various topics
  • Create educational materials, such as manuals and guides
  • Assess staff learning needs and develop individualized growth plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant
  • Three years recent related nursing experience in the designated clinical area of specialty
  • One year of experience (or training) in areas such as teaching, leadership, mentoring, and preceptoring
  • Ability to teach, coach, and provide clinical support
  • Ability to identify learning needs and develop educational programs
