About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Team Member to join our team at 2287311 Alberta Ltd. as a Kitchen Operations Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating special events, preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and ensuring that our kitchen and food service areas are clean and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Coordination: Co-ordinate special events, including planning, preparation, and execution.
  • Culinary Operations: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, ensuring that they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet health and safety standards, and prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Recruit and hire staff as needed, and manage kitchen operations to ensure that they are running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
