Key Responsibilities:

  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food to ensure consistency and quality
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient operations
  • Clean kitchen and work areas to maintain a safe and healthy environment
  • Manage kitchen operations to meet customer demands and expectations
  • Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food to ensure timely and accurate service
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage to inform inventory management and cost control
  • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation to ensure efficient ordering and inventory management
Requirements:
  • Excellent oral communication skills to effectively train and communicate with staff
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing kitchen operations and customer demands
  • Reliability to maintain a high level of quality and consistency in food preparation and presentation
  • Team player to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and management to achieve common goals
Experience:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Permanent employment with a competitive salary and benefits package
  • 32 hours per week with opportunities for overtime
