At Canadian Solar Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the entire accounts payable process, from receipt of invoices to payment processing.
Key Responsibilities:- Process and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Match invoices to purchase orders and receipts
- Ensure timely payment of invoices while maintaining good relationships with vendors
- Prepare and process credit notes for returned goods
- Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledger to the general ledger control account
- Perform monthly reconciliations for major vendors
- Communicate with vendors on invoice disputes and receiving and payments of outstanding accounts
- Support other departments with vendor issues, pricing, and AP documentation
- Analyze exchange variances and maintain accounting filing system and folders
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Finance
- Work experience with Accounting and Operations preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective time and project management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a team environment
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and email
