We are seeking a highly skilled Comprehensive Communication Specialist to join our team at the Niagara Children's Centre. This is a full-time fixed-term contract position that will end on July 31, 2026.

The Niagara Children's Centre is a leading provider of rehabilitation and support services to children and youth with physical, developmental, and communicative delays and disabilities in the Niagara Region. Our core services include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language services, augmentative and alternative communication, family services, and therapeutic recreation. Salary and Benefits

This role comes with a competitive salary range of $41.35-$48.70 per hour and a total expected annual salary of approximately $83,739 - $97,164. The position requires a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology and registration with CASLPO. You will also have access to comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development.

Job Description

The Comprehensive Communication Specialist will work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to assess, identify, and treat communication difficulties in children. Your expertise will be crucial in enhancing quality of life and participation for these young individuals. You may be required to work with children who have complex profiles of needs and deliver an interdisciplinary approach to care through community partnering agencies in an outreach capacity.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or related field
  • Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
  • Strong understanding of speech language therapy among children and youth
  • Ability to identify goals and establish treatment plans
  • Effective education and communication skills
  • CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certifications
  • Bilingualism considered an asset
