Job DescriptionWe are seeking an accomplished Electrical Engineer with expertise in wireless communications and signal processing to join our Research and Development team.
As a key member of our R&D team, you will work on diverse projects from government and defense organizations in Canada and the UK. Candidates with a solid understanding of theoretical and practical aspects of signal processing and wireless communications theory are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and optimize digital signal processing algorithms for various applications, such as HF communications, Spread Spectrum techniques, and Low Probability of Intercept signals.
- Perform rigorous testing and validation of developed algorithms to ensure their accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on software and hardware integration for seamless project execution.
- Publish technical reports and presentations to document and communicate your designs effectively.
- Model and simulate signal processing algorithms using industry-standard tools.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies to adapt your skills and knowledge to new projects.
- Mastery in electrical engineering with specialization in communications and signal processing.
- Proven experience in wireless communications and signal processing (combination of academic coursework and professional work experience).
- In-depth knowledge of digital communication systems, spread spectrum, single and multi-carrier techniques, and modulation techniques like QAM and FSK.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, C, Python, and/or related signal processing programming languages.
- Familiarity with the sampling theorem and its application to data acquisition and signal analysis.
- Experience with modeling and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink.
- Familiarity with direct synthesizers and phase-locked loops.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
