Salary
$41.35-$48.70 per hour (37.5 hours/week)

Job Description
The Communication Specialist works collaboratively with parents and caregivers to assess, identify, and treat communication difficulties in children and youth. This role involves delivering an interdisciplinary approach to care, working closely with community partnering agencies to provide support in the home, community, or school setting.

Required Skills and Qualifications
• Registration and membership in good standing with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
• Post-secondary degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Sound understanding of speech language therapy amongst children and youth
• Ability to identify goals and establish appropriate treatment plans to achieve said goals with children, youth, families, and other care providers both in-person and virtually through telepracticing
• Effectively educate children/youth, families, and other care providers related to their specific needs, utilizing a variety of strategies and through a variety of mediums (group, individual, lectures, online, etc.)
• Current CPR and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) certifications
• Bilingualism considered an asset
