We are seeking an experienced Child and Youth Psychiatrist to join our team at Penticton Regional Hospital. As part of our dedicated group of 7 psychiatrists, you will provide high-quality, client-centered care to individuals and their families.

The 16-bed Inpatient Psychiatric Unit (IPU) offers Acute Mental Health and Substance Use services in a safe, secure, and accessible facility for the South Okanagan region. Our well-established integrated Adult Mental Health programs include:

  • Short Term Counseling
  • Community Case Management
  • Vocational Rehabilitation
  • Physical Activation
  • Anxiety and Depression groups
  • DBT groups
  • Seniors Mental Health
  • Rural Outreach

In addition, our community child and youth mental health program features individual counseling, group counseling, DBT program, and integrated psychiatric services.

You will enjoy a diverse practice supported by a collaborative and experienced group of caring inter-disciplinary professionals. This position also offers opportunities to teach medical students, participate in quality improvement, and program development activities. You may also be involved in general psychiatry.

Leadership Development Opportunities are available through Interior Health's NAVIG8 Program, a comprehensive leadership development program designed for physicians.

Locum opportunities are also available during the recruitment period.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate in Medicine

On call requirements: 1:5-6 and rotating weekends

Salary Range: $300,000 - $400,000 per year, plus MOCAP level 2 benefits
