We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriter to join our team at Definity. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing and managing risks for our commercial clients. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate risks for commercial clients, including property and liability risks
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize losses and maximize profitability
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including underwriting teams and claims handlers, to ensure seamless risk management processes
- Communicate complex risk information to clients and stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise understanding of risk exposures
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory requirements, applying knowledge to inform risk management decisions
- Insurance knowledge with awareness of risk and at least two years of experience in Commercial Lines underwriting
- Excellent communication and people skills, with strong motivational skills and problem-solving skills
- Experience with sales and customer service
