We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriter to join our team at Definity. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing and managing risks for our commercial clients. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate risks for commercial clients, ensuring that our policies meet their needs and provide adequate coverage.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments, ensuring that our underwriting practices are aligned with best practices.
- Collaborate with other teams, including sales and marketing, to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to grow our business.
- Manage and maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Insurance knowledge with awareness of risk and at least two years of experience in Commercial Lines underwriting.
- Excellent communication and people skills, with strong motivational skills and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with sales and customer service.
