About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Insurance Broker to join our team at Echelon 56. As a key member of our insurance brokerage, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a senior onsite broker, assisting other brokers and supervisors as needed, supporting learning and growth within the team.
  • Provide property, casualty, travel medical, and auto insurance services and professional advice to existing customers and prospects through multiple forms of communication.
  • Handle policy updates, input changes into the insurance software, and document them in the agency management system.
  • Log into the customer assistance telephone queue and provide assistance regarding quotes, changes, amendments, and inquiries for new business and existing clients.
  • Using proper questioning and sales techniques, provide property insurance quotations and apply all appropriate pre-qualification and underwriting guidelines using evaluation software.
  • Educate clients on the differences in coverage, special limitations provided by each insurance provider, and packages.
  • Adhere to all legal insurance requirements, Insurance Act, and Insurance Code of Ethics.
  • Meet the expectations of a Broker Audit and Quality Assurance program.
About You

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Post-secondary education in insurance or a business-related field (preferable).
  • A General Insurance License Level 2 or higher from the Insurance Council of Manitoba.
  • A working knowledge of a broker management system, EPIC preferred, Microsoft Office applications.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related or similar work experience within the insurance industry.
