We are currently seeking a Construction Survey Crew Chief for our Fort McMurray, AB location.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the Construction Survey sector and a desire to grow and learn with an innovative, forward-thinking company. The successful candidate will be responsible for surveying facilities, layouts, piles, and grading on various construction sites throughout Western Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Survey facilities, layouts, piles, and grading on various construction sites
  • Travel as required for shift work that may last up to 21 days
  • Work outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions
  • Follow safety protocol
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to survey assistants
  • Prepare clear, concise, and accurate field notes, records, and calculations

Requirements:

  • Strong focus on relationships, both internal and external to CORE
  • Desire for excellence in all that you do
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to liaise with clients
  • Creativity
  • A degree/diploma from a technical college in Geomatics
  • Experience leading a construction survey crew
  • Experience performing precise layout and control surveys
  • Experience working on industrial and commercial construction sites
